How to Reprogram Your Mind for a Happier Life

The human mind is an extremely powerful tool. Most of us do not realize the immense power we have within ourselves.

The problem with the mind is that it is not easy to control. This is why we often let the mind run away with emotions and feelings that come easily to it. Many a time these are not positive and that reflects in our thoughts and actions.

Successful people tend to have the ability to focus on their goals and battle adversities and reach milestones on their way to success. It is true that every individual has their own challenges and goals, but there are certain behaviour patterns that spell success. It is the study of these individuals that gives practitioners of NLP a framework to help guide people on their path to take control of their lives.

 

Positive Psychology

Positive psychology is “the scientific study of positive human functioning on multiple levels that include the biological, personal, relational, institutional, cultural, and global dimensions of life”. Practitioners of positive psychology help to keep focus on all the positive emotions that a human being experiences, like wellbeing, happiness, and flourishing. It is based on the belief of its founder, Dr. Martin Seligman that every human wants to lead a fulfilling and meaningful life, to cultivate the best within them, and to make the best of all aspects of life, love, and work.

 

Both approaches are different when it comes to their principles and execution, but both ultimately aim at creating happy and fulfilled individuals who have the power to change the course of their life towards reaching maximum happiness.  As a result, people are better able to form lasting relationships and achieve their goals.
