About this Workshop
The Nervous System is a complex system in charge of our behaviors and emotions. By understanding this energetic pathway, its symptoms, and emotional reactions, you can restore balance. This workshop will focus on the tools of Emotional Regulation to cultivate calm and ease life’s tensions.
Our nervous system is composed of two main branches: the sympathetic nervous system (SNS) and the parasympathetic nervous system (PNS).
The SNS is responsible for the “fight or flight” response, which prepares the body for action in response to a perceived threat. On the other hand, the PNS is responsible for the “rest and digest” response, which helps the body relax and recover from stress.
When our nervous system is out of balance, meaning that the SNS is overactive and the PNS is underactive, it can lead to a variety of symptoms, such as anxiety, depression, or physical pain. Unresolved emotional issues can also lead to an imbalanced nervous system. Negative emotions such as anger, sadness, and fear can trigger the SNS, and if not addressed, they can become chronic and lead to physical symptoms such as headaches, back pain, and gastrointestinal problems.
Emotional regulation skills can help individuals manage stress, cope with difficult situations, and maintain healthy relationships.
