About this Workshop

In this workshop, Alexis will guide you into a powerful cacao ceremony followed by soul-freeing ecstatic dancing.

Cacao is a strong plant medicine with many benefits for people who open themselves up to try it. Cacao ceremonies are a way of shamanic healing used to release emotional blockages, open our hearts and connect with ourselves. According to Mayan beliefs, cacao is one of the components used to create the human race. Mayan gods bled onto the cacao pods and gifted cacao to humanity.

Ecstatic dance is a form of self-expression where dancers surrender to the rhythm and reach a state of ecstatic feelings. Dancers are free to move however they feel like. There is no choreography they have to follow. It is a form of meditation that helps people with stress and other negative emotions. Mind, body and the spirit can benefit from this practice. Throughout history, ecstatic dance has had many meanings to different communities. Societies used ecstatic dance as a vessel of ‘’worship, celebration, story-telling and myth-making’. Ecstatic dance can lead to a trance state.

Alexis is an internationally acclaimed breathwork master and bodywork & tantric embodiment coach. He is renowned for his depth of study and ability to communicate ancient wisdom in a practical, encouraging manner, combining extensive science with spirituality.

When his own life plan started to unravel after years in the corporate world, Alexis discovered the principles of a holistic lifestyle that helped him create a new vision for the life he wanted. This remarkable turnaround fuelled a path of self-discovery and led him into a decade of training by top coaches such as Tony Robbins, Wim Hof, Dan Brulé, Swami Vivekananda Saraswati, Shaman Nabeel Redwood, Jon Paul Crimi, Michaël Bijker, Elliott Saxby, Nirmala Taryn Walker and Gema Sanchez-Cabezudo.

His deep connection with somatic therapies, coaching, tantra, energy work, transpersonal psychology, and breathwork enriched Alexis’ healing journey. This inspired him to combine these acquired holistic skills and intuitive approach to create his signature method that promotes healing, transformation and the awakening of people’s potential.

Over the past decade, Alexis has worked with thousands of people around the globe, and supported them in returning to their innate power, wisdom and love. His work embodies transformative techniques powered by contemporary studies that help identify and release past blockages to enhance well-being.

How to prepare for the session:

  • It is best not to eat a big meal before the session
  • Set up a quiet space where you will be undisturbed for the session
  • Make sure that you have access to a yoga mat, cushions, bolsters, blankets, a blindfold (optional) and tissues
  • Join the session on time to not miss the instructions of the techniques we will be using
  • You will need a good internet connection and a good speaker or headphones because we will play music
  • Bring a notebook / journal and a pen, crayons, markers, etc

  • Breathwork and other techniques we use can result in intense physical and emotional release. Therefore, it is not advised for persons with epilepsy, detached retina, glaucoma, uncontrolled high blood pressure, cardiovascular diseases (including prior heart attack), mental disorders (manic disorder, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), paranoia, psychotic episodes, depersonalization, etc.), strokes, TIA´s, seizures or other brain/neurological conditions, a history of aneurysms in the immediate family, use of prescription blood thinners, hospitalized for any psychiatric condition or emotional crisis within the past 10 years, osteoporosis or physical injuries that are not fully healed, acute somatic and viral diseases, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD-II and COPD-III), chronic diseases with symptoms of decompensation or terminal illness, individual intolerance of oxygen insufficiency, cancer and Low Impulse Control.

  • Pregnant women are advised against practicing Breathwork and some of our techniques without first consulting and getting approval from their primary care physician.

  • Persons with asthma should bring their inhaler and consult with their primary care physician and the facilitator.

  • This work is deeply experiential. It may involve intense and energetic emotional release. This workshop is not advised for persons who are under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

  • Please note that if you are currently taking antidepressant medication, participating in a cacao ceremony may not be suitable for you.
