The experience

Breath, body and energy.

Participants lying on mats during a Holosomatic® Experience

This is not a talk about the nervous system. It is an afternoon on the floor with your eyes covered, breathing, moving and letting the body do what it has been waiting to do. Helsinki is one stop on the Becoming Tour, a series of Holosomatic® Experiences brought to a different city each time.

The afternoon follows the Holosomatic® Method, created by Alexis Alcalá, founder of InnerCamp, who facilitates this workshop himself. The Method brings modern neuroscience, ancient healing traditions and somatic intelligence into one practice. Conscious breathing, safe somatic touch and vibrational sound have been shown to regulate the autonomic nervous system, reduce inflammation, support trauma recovery and increase neuroplasticity, the brain's ability to heal and grow.

You leave with new tools, simple practices to keep going at home, and a felt sense of wholeness: more grounded, more awake, more yourself.

Four parts

The workshop moves through four components.

  1. 01

    Breathwork

Continuous, connected breathing. It lets tension go and changes how you feel within minutes.

  2. 02

    Bodywork

Simple movement and safe touch to shake off what you've been carrying.

  3. 03

    Energy Activation

Alexis uses breath and sound until you feel energy moving in your body. Most people feel tingling, warmth or waves of emotion.

  4. 04

    Manifestation

Before you leave, you set one clear intention and feel it in your body, not only in your head.

How the session unfolds

Three guided stages, moving from reset into release and expansion.

  1. 01

    Reset

We start by shaking off the stress of the week so your body is ready to let go.

  2. 02

    Activation

Breath and sound build energy in the body. You'll notice where you feel open and where you're holding on.

  3. 03

    Expansion

The longest breath session goes deeper. Old emotions often come up and leave, and most people finish feeling light and alive.

Helsinki

Finlandia Hall.

We gather at Finlandia Hall, Alvar Aalto's landmark on the shore of Töölönlahti Bay, a short walk from the centre of Helsinki. Enter from Mannerheimintie (door M4) or from Karamzininranta (door K4), and our team will guide you from there.

Getting there

Public transport is the easiest way. Trams 4 and 10 stop right outside, at Kansallismuseo on Mannerheimintie, and buses 455, 456, 464 and 465 use the same stop. From Helsinki Central Station it is about a 12-minute walk. From the airport, take the I or P train to Central Station, then walk or take tram 4 or 10. Taxis drop off at door K1 on Karamzininranta.

Parking

Aimo Park runs a paid car park right next to the hall, with around 650 spaces. Drive in from Karamzininranta and take the lift up to the Finlandia Hall lobby. Accessible spaces are inside, and people with reduced mobility get two hours free: ask for the ticket at the Service Point by the main entrance on the Mannerheimintie side.
