Breathwork facilitator trainings range from a few hundred euros for a weekend course to more than €6,000 for long certifications. The headline price rarely tells the whole story. Here is what you actually pay for, the costs people forget, and how to compare schools fairly.
Typical price ranges
- Weekend or short online courses: usually a few hundred euros. Good for your own practice, but rarely enough to guide other people safely.
- Full facilitator certifications (200–300+ hours): roughly €2,000 to €6,500, depending on the school, the hours and how much is live with a trainer.
- In-person or hybrid programmes: usually more, because they include days on site with hands-on practice.
What the price should include
- Live teaching hours with an experienced trainer, not only recorded videos
- Supervised practice on real people, with feedback
- A full safety module: screening, contraindications and handling strong reactions
- Accreditation that matches the hours on the certificate
- Course materials you keep, ideally for life
- Support after you graduate: community, mentoring, business tools
The hidden costs
- Travel and accommodation for in-person parts. Ask exactly what is and isn't included.
- Payment plan surcharges. Spreading the cost is helpful, but check the final total.
- Extra certificates or exam fees some schools charge separately.
- Insurance and membership fees once you start working with clients.
- Time. A four-month course with weekly classes is a real commitment, so plan for it.
Cost per hour: a fairer comparison
Divide the full price by the number of training hours, then check how many of those hours are live. A cheap course with few live hours can cost more per hour of real teaching than a longer one.
Can you earn it back?
Many facilitators start with small group sessions, one-to-one work or adding breathwork to an existing practice in yoga, coaching or bodywork. How quickly you earn back the cost depends on your clients, your prices and how much you practise. Be wary of any school that promises a fixed income. Our guide on how to start a breathwork business covers the first steps.
