Getting certified is step one. Building a practice that pays your bills is step two — and the one most trainings skip. Here's a practical path we've seen work for many of our 2,500+ graduates.
1. Get properly trained first
Clients trust facilitators who know how to keep them safe. Look for a trauma-informed, accredited training with supervised practice. Our guide to becoming a certified breathwork facilitator explains what to look for. In our own Breathwork Facilitator Training, around 80% of graduates start earning within their first four to six sessions.
2. Choose your first offer
- 1:1 sessions — deep work and the fastest way to build confidence.
- Group sessions — lower price per person, more reach, great for yoga studios.
- Corporate workshops — stress and focus sessions for teams (see our corporate programme for inspiration).
- Ceremonies and retreats — pair breathwork with cacao (see the Cacao Ceremony Facilitator Training).
Start with one. You can add more once people know what you do.
3. Set your prices
Research what other facilitators in your city charge, and position yourself honestly for your experience level. Offer a small introductory package (for example three sessions) rather than big discounts — it builds commitment and results.
4. Find your first ten clients
- Offer a few sessions to friends and ask for honest testimonials.
- Partner with yoga studios, gyms and wellness centres for a monthly group class.
- Share short, educational posts about techniques like box breathing.
- Get listed in a facilitator directory so people can find you locally.
5. Handle the practical side
Check professional insurance and local regulations where you work, use a clear intake form that screens for contraindications, and keep boundaries clear: breathwork facilitators support wellbeing but don't diagnose or treat medical conditions.
6. Grow by adding skills
Many facilitators become more effective (and more bookable) by combining modalities. Touch-based work is covered in the Somatic Bodywork Facilitator Training, and energy work in the Energy Facilitator Training. Keep practising yourself too — the membership keeps your own practice alive.
